Originally rated May 2006. Best before date on back label reads: 21 08 06 08:53 325 and purchased at the SAQ. This premium lager has a nice creamy white head with decent retention and lacing. It pours a golden-amber colour with lots of carbonation. The aromas start on a fresh malt scent but end up with some metallic water nose. The mouthfeel is sticky. Not too much bitterness throughout the tasting, but enough to satisfy. Bready malt with some refreshing fruit in the finish, like apples. Thank God for no metal in the taste. Above-average pilsner.

Pretty standard golden / yellow colored beer with a nice white head. Smell and taste decent but nothing special. Very lively carbo though for only 5%ABV. Low body.

On tap and bottled. Golden color with medium white head. Fruity aroma, hints of hops. Taste, malty, tones of citrus. Bittersweet finish. Not my favorite among Czech beers.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm, 23 Oct 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, grass, some tropical fruit and a touch of toffee. Malty taste with notes of bread, toffee, some butter and grassy hops in the finish. Medium body with some malt sweetness throughout. A decent and drinkable pilsner, but it’s a bit uninspired and hardly exceptional.

Bottle, 5.0% as Starobrno svetle pivo lezak. Clear dark golden colour. Stable white head, slightly plasticky. Mild hop aroma, very slightly spicy. The flavour is quite malty, tastes darker and sweeter than it looks. Slightly rough bitterness.

on tap pours deep gold, thin white head. Aroma is light hops and a soapy sourness in the background. Sweet crystal malt flavors mix with some toasted malt and a light hop finish. Moderately carbonated with a medium body. Refreshing.
