This Friday, we will be releasing our second batch of Cerveza Sin Frontera. This beer is a collaboration with CROOKED STAVE (Denver, CO) and BRASSERIE TROIS DAMES (Sainte-Croix, Switzerland).
For Batch 1, all three breweries brewed the same beer at their separate breweries, fermented that beer with their own mixed culture, and then aged the beer in sherry barrels. The main distinction between Batch 1 and Batch 2 of Cerveza Sin Frontera is the barrels in which the beer rested. This batch of Cerveza Sin Frontera aged in cognac barrels as opposed to the sherry barrels used for Batch 1.
Batch #2 bottled in May of 2018.

Keg at the bottle shop druid Street. A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a a lasting white head. Aroma is tart, funky citrus, lemon, lime, farty lacto. Flavour is composed of sharp citrus fruits, lemon and lime, musty funk, lime rind, woody lacto funk.. Palate is semi sweet, sharp, moderate carbonation. Good stuff.

Keg at the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, 28/11/18. Deep golden amber with a decent off white covering that dissipates edgeward. Nose is wood, funk, grape must, tarte fruit, red berry skins, herbal notes, damp alleyway. Taste comprises funk, mixed grape skins, tarte cherries, light dry rot, barnyard esters, vinous twang, on the turn red berries, mellow barrel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close laden with tangy berry fruits and mid level acidity. A really solid, well balanced and approachable sour.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper gold with small white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong oak, funk, cognac, grape. Slick body, funky, grape skin, oak, cognac barrel is nice, enjoyed this.
