Medium to good, dwindling tan-cream head over deep dark brown beer. Roasted, nutty & bready, rainwater, dark green leaves for aromas. Sweet flavour, old dark bread, bit of dark candi sugar, caramel, and again leafy. Not unlike smaller firm ’artisanal’ cola. MF like diluted brown syrup. Feels well-carbonated. Not that bad -goes into the right direction. Just that little sourishness still missing.

The newest beer from this brewery, in existence for a few weeks now. Thin, loose and quickly dissipating, off-white head over a misty bronze coloured beer. Aroma of dried apricot, caramel, walnuts, red berries and a rather disturbing presence of H2S (sewer water or even rotten egg). Restrained dried fruit sweetishness, hint of peach with a basic sourish accent, smooth and supple mouthfeel, bit thin body actually, caramelly malts becoming a bit toasted in the end, lightly bittering with some herbal hop bitterness. Nothing outspoken here, just another middle of the road Belgian brown, forgettable, I’m afraid. And I hope they can at least eliminate the H2S odour!

25/IV/15 - on tap @ ZBF 2015 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2015-501) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Clear red brown beer, aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of milk chocolate, some caramel, lots of dried fruits, brown sugar. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, banana, little bitter, somewhat metallic. Aftertaste: more metallic, slightly sourish, caramel, bit sugary, banana, a bit blunt but not too bad.
