Yes, we needed something for the heavy beerdrinkers in Ecaussinnes... so Hugues brewed a five degrees blond top- fermented beer, but still with a nice taste.

33cl bottle. Pale golden colour with white head, good lasting and perfect lacing. Aroma is to floral hops, fruits, sweet, with citrus hints. Flavour is spicy moderate, bittery and dry at the end, citrus and yeasty traces are present. Carbonation is medium. Body is light. Texture is oily.

Very light, slightly hazy golden coloured body with a lighter yellow hue with a large, frothy white head that doesn’t leave much of a lace at all - almost exploded from the bottle upon opening. Aroma of hay, coriander seed, yeast, light malt, caster sugar and a touch of very light spices. Medium-bodied; VERY effervescent taste and mouthful up front with a dose of coriander seed, yeast, wheat and a light hay and grassy note. Aftertaste shows a little sweetness, some more coriander seed and cloves, a spicey yeast kick and a good grassy, herbal-natured finish. Overall, not such a great beer, but definitely not bad, and sampling it back home with the label [as shown above], makes you feel great about having a ’real’ belgian beer that shows off the characteristics of the country in so many ways. I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased at Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 02-January-2011 for €2,00 sampled at home on the other side of the pond in Washington on 19-July-2011.

Bottle. Golden blonde with a huge, rocky head that lasted forever. Aroma of biscuits, honey, yeast, grass and some citrus--orange mostly. Sweet, bready flavor with a reasonably bitter, minerally finish. Some citrus, honey, grass. eecent but not that interesting. Very drinkable and refreshing. Would probably be better on tap.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a loose and tall frothy white head. Sweet and slightly dusty malty aroma with a shy fruity and medicinal touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slim pale malty base with a restrained fruit-character, spicy notes and again a medicinal touch; slightly sweet and bitter finish with present spicy notes. Unconvincing. 11.I.11

A golden hazy ale with a thick white head. Aroma of light bananas, malt, lemon and yeast. In mouth, a lightly sweet crisp malt with light bubble gum and lemony hops. Medium bodied. Refreshing. Bieropholie imports.

Clear golden with tiny head. Week aroma that holds grainy and grassy notes. Sweet flavor with yeast, and grainy notes. Ends sweet. This is a pale lager to me...
