330ml bottle picket up from the fridge at Piccadilly Tap and shared with Finn on the train to Hull. Inky black body under a tan-coloured head. Sweet and tart nose. Taste of prunes, black currant and yeasty esters. Tart and sweet ending. Well bodied. Like it (23.11.2015).

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours black, nose is chocolate, sour berries, taste is tart, salty, chewy toffee.

Bottle at Chorlton Brewery; dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has dark fruits and a hint of sour malt action, taste has some roast malts, salt, tart dark fruits, some caramel.

Draft at Craft Clerkenwell. Opaque maroon, flat. Aroma of sour plums and prunes. Taste is softly sour redcurrant and candied plums. Interesting.

On tap at the Small Bar, Bristol 21/9/2015. Cola coloured, with no head. Sweet chocolate, some liquorice and a sour edge. An odd mix of stout and sourness, but ok.

Tap, this Imperial Dark Gose was a nice dark brown with a lactic herbal nose, the taste was oregano or some kind of Italian spices. Tasty but not for me.

Bottle at home, from Beer Gonzo, 19/05/15. Light black with a decent beige covering. Nose is bitter berry fruits, wooded notes, fruit balsamics, stewed raspberries. Taste comprises more tarte red berry, cherry balsams, light wood, stroke of acidity. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough offering if a little 1D.

Draft @ Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green E2. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Has a fruity malty weak earthy salty caramel aroma. Fruity malty weak yeasty salty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy weak salty sour caramel finish.
