The Trappistenhuis’ home beer brewed at De Graal and named after proprietor Johan Uytterhaegen, who is very knowledgeable about Belgian beers (not sure if he is still there, though). Off-white, not very stable head, misty ochre blonde colour. Citrussy and malty, bit grainy aroma, orange, caramel, grass, a bit phenolic too but fortunately this weakens quickly. Fruity taste with medium carbonation, light and a bit too neutral, light bitterish finish but a bit thin. Far less a personality than its commissioner, but not offensive and thirst-quenching.

Bottle. Bright yellow color, fizzy white head. Lots of grains and corn, slight bitterness. This is definitely a beer, but that’s about it. Nothing special.
