Bottle @ home. Clear amber colour with a small to medium sized white head. Pretty active bubbles. Smells like delirium tremens.. Probably the yeast or something. Slightly sweet, malts, inflatable swimmingpool and a hint of fruits. Tastes like how I remember Delirium Tremens too. Reminds me of my younger days a bit. It’s been quite a while since I’ve had one though. Malts, yeast, sweetish, slightly herbs. 500 ml stoneware bottle, as Sterkens St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru Bière Forte, capped and with swingtop. ABV is 7.5%. Bought at Alcampo, Gran Canaria. In the German translation on the label the beer is classified as a "doppelbock", which it clearly is not, despite being brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot. Pale golden colour, large and lasting white head. Nice and "typical Belgian" spicy aroma, also some fruity notes. Fairly light bodied for its strength , nice and mild spicy flavour, again "typically Belgian", not too sweet.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Hazy golden yellow pour, big white head. Some light spice on the aroma, hay and cereal. Taste is light sweet, herbal bitter. Yeasty. Creamy texture, clean finish. Good.

Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Apple, yeast, orange, grains and bread. Clear gold with a thick white head. Honey, apple, grains and light orange. I get a very mild bitterness in the finish, but the sweetness overpowers. The thick mouth feel makes this a slow going beer. I think this would pair well with a desert or fruit, much in the way of an Ice Wine. As this warms, it is starting to taste more like a light quad. Fruits stand out more, and although apple still prevails it is still pretty good.

Light golden colored body with high foamy head.. Hops dominate the aroma and flavor, astringent finish. Aroma is hops, pine, floral. Taste is more of the same capped with some light alcohol burn. Decent effort on this one.

16 ounce bottle into chalice, best before 4/9/2014. Pours hazy and cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, bread, candi sugar, honey, clove, earth, pepper, herbal, and yeast spiciness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of apple, pear, grape, apricot, bread, pepper, clove, earth, honey, candi sugar, herbal, and yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, bread, pepper, clove, honey, candi sugar, earth, and yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor balance and complexity; with a nice malt/spiciness balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly slick and crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian tripel style. Very nice complexity and balance of flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle as "St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru", long lasting creamy head with some lacing, hazy golden colour with some orange streaks, earthy yeasty aroma with rose petals, some white fruits and candy in the back, flavour of rose petals, orange blossom and citrus, finely balanced and not too heavy with lively carbonation, light bitterness and a long sourish afteraste. A very nice brew that’s quite easy to drink.

Bottle. As "St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru". Clear deep golden with a nice, big, stable white head. Aroma has some fruitiness, alcohol, some floral and grassy hops and light grainy hints. Rather sweet alcoholic flavor with some malt, honey notes, some fruitiness, yeasty notes and a drier finish, slightly spicy, with light bitterness and some more alcohol. Medium-bodied. So-so.

500 ml crock. Pours gold with a large head and nice lacing. Yeasty aroma with lemons and spice. Flavors of lemons, white pepper, coriander, bananas and bubblegum. Not too strong. Refreshing. Cool bottle.
