The St. Sebastiaan Golden is a golden, heavy fermented abbey beer with a distinctive fruity aroma and subtle hints of elaborately selected herbs. This St. Sebastiaan has a nice balance between sweet and bitter and has a nice full-bodied taste with a soft, malty aftertaste.

Bottled (as St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru, by Sterkens), thanks oh6gdx! Hazy golden, almost no head. Fruity nose with orange and brie cheese. Mid-sweet with medium body. Lightly fruity with a touch of alcohol, notes of orange and vanilla. Low bitterness. Both pleasant and interesting.

50cl ceramic bottle @ Germany. Pours unclear golden with a small creamy off white head. Nose is sweet of yeast, brett and orange peel - actually reminds me of Orval :-) Flavor is fruit, orange and warming ยดsweet alcohol. As it gets warmer the orval bretty nose disappears and it becomes more like a mead. Hmmh. Ok tasty.

Deep golden color with an orange-ish glow. UFOs. Tall, foamy white head, which quickly reduced to lace. It has a very strong, fruity aroma, with caramelly malt; rather sweet. It has a rich malt flavor, fruit, cookies, and spices which are probably added. It is pretty reasonably hopped, though they do not stand out. Behind all of this is a very Belgian yeast character. Well- carbonated, medium bodied, though surprisingly refreshing. Ok, but not really special, and the cool bottle is a rip-off!

50 cL ceramic bottle, as St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru. Gusher. Pours hazy yellow with a small and fizzy white head. Solid yeasty and phenolic aroma. Mild spiced too. Semi sweet malty and dry yeasty flavours following this. Ends dry and phenolic yet also somewhat sweet malty and mellow yeast-fruity.
