Imperial Pastry Stout Brewed With Coconut, Hazelnut, Coffee, Vanilla Beans, Cocoa Nibs

Forest Fortress is an imperial pastry stout brewed with a ridiculous amount of specialty malts. We conditioned the final product on roasted hazelnuts, toasted coconut, oily vanilla beans, rich cocoa nibs and aromatic Mostra Coffee coffee beans. Enjoy this stout in your favorite hideaway amongst the treetops.

Pours a dark, cola-black, with minimal head. Aroma is hazelnut, coconut, some chocolate, some coffee. Flavor follows, along with some dark fruit and vanilla. A very, very sweet beer (almost too much so). Soft mouthfeel. The ABV is pretty well-hidden in aroma and flavor.

Roast is big, and some coconut. Coffee light, some hazelnut. Vanilla and dark chocolate. Nice desert beer. Creamy consistency. Black pour with great head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Can.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, hazelnut, coconut, vanilla over very smooth burnt malt. Very full in body. Flavor is sort of coconut nutella with vanilla and smooth burnt malt. Not dry, but not sticky. Creamy sweet. Bitter? Arguably - but it could be heat. Delicious? Definitely.

Short lived fizzy brown head. Fairly subdued aromas of cocoa molasses and roast.Sweet but thank God not overly sweet. And sweetness is bounced by carbonation and some roast. Don't pick up much of the hazelnut or coconut, do get hints of the coffee and vanilla. The thing about this style is it's been beat to death, so to make it good you've really got to knock it out of the park.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of coconut, chocolate, nuts, vanilla, coffee, licorice--yeah, basically what the label says. Pours a very dark brown with a collapsing beige head. Taste is highly sweet with flavors like the aroma descriptors. Nice velvety mouthfeel. Nice beer, but it's rich and good in small doses.

Can. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of hazelnut and coconut up front with dark grains, light roast and coffee supporting. Flavor has sweet dark grains, vanilla and hazelnut up front with growing coffee and roast supporting.

Can thanks to Brian. Pours black with small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong hazelnut, vanilla, roast, coconut. Slick body, coconut, hazelnut, dark chocolate, vanilla, boozy, very nice.
