Full Sail is a relatively new brewery in Japan which I first encountered at the ACBE in Osaka. They’re still a bit rare in tap but are slowly showing up online in bottles and cans (I got this one via Rakuten). Full Sail IPAPAYA 6.2% A good looking orange-copper gold with a 1cm thick head of foam and a juicy tropical aroma featuring Papaya (duh). Fairly dry and light bodied with crackers malts, tropical fruits at first the bitter pine in the finish. A very solid ipa that smells great and goes down smoother than the 6.2% listed on the bottle, also a good find for about 500¥ a bottle... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up pineapple and papaya candy and a sense of fruit juice. The taste delivers a blend of juicy tropical fruit, bitter grapefruit like hops and a light papaya and pineapple candy sensation. All in all this is a pretty tasty IPA that I would do again.

355ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, snow-white head. Sweet-ish, tropical fruity and slightly citrusy, hoppy aroma, slightly artificial hints of papaya, apricot, some marmalade. Taste is slightly sweet-ish pale malty and bitter, tropical fruity and slightly citrusy hoppy, hints of passion fruit, papaya, some apricot, a touch of lemon and marmalade. Very clean, minimally artificial, a bit light.

Bottle, maybe a little past its prime but still good hop flavor. Dark yellow color and the head is short lives and completely gone in a few minutes. Papaya immediately in the aroma. Some sweet malt, lots of citrus and juicy hops.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a slight white head. Aromas of papaya and maltomeal - or something grainy cooked. Med body. Flavor is very fruity and hoppy. The cooked aspect has disappeared. The papaya is evident. Unless I’m getting passion fruit. Don’t know that I can separate those. Need to eat more tropical fruits. Anyway it’s towards dry, fruity, and nicely bitter. Thinking this may be underrated, but I guess ratings go on expected vs. actual. I try not to have expectations. Try. Sorry Yoda.
