Bottle from a Carrefour in Ninove. Pours hazy dark brown with a thinning, frothy, off-white head. Weakish aroma of raisin, licorice, roasted malt, spices, charcoal, brown sugar, some herbs. It tastes medium spicy bitter, light malty sweet, and very light fruity sour, some metallic notes. Shortish, roasted, overall spicy finish. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. It's not clear what they want to achieve with this beer - incorporating Stout elements? Not bad per se, and preferable over the Red and Gold brothers.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color with a dark red glare coming through, medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, somewhat herbal, dark fruits lightly, caramel, brown malts, somewhat bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Ok beer.

Bottle. Opaque deep brown to black. Big ivory coloured airy head. Stays as a nice layer on beer surface. Estery nose. Caramel, toasted malts along. Medium body. Lively carbonation. The flavour, again, offers dark malts and typical Belagian fruity esters. Well-hidden alcohol. Loads of dried fruit on ending. Low biterness. This is a fairly solid Belgian ale that just does not make you be that emotional drinking it. Calm enjoyment.

Beer from Smak-Piwa.pl. 7% ABV. Piana spora i trwala, brazowe lekko metne ale troche przezroczysta ciemno brazowo-bordowa barwa. Ogolnie jak na mocne Ale Belgijskie jest delikatne, malo wytrawne, troche palonego slodu slodki karmel. Przypominalo Schwarzbiera skrzyzowanego z Baltyckim porterem. Nie to czego oczekiwalem

Égbetörő, nagyon tartós, bézs hab, feketébe hajló barna szín. Illata malátás, belga barnasörös, hajszálnyi karamellel. Karamelles, malátás, fűszeres ízvilág, rövid lecsengéssel. Közepesen testes, erősen szénsavas, alig-alig kesernyés. Kifejezetten friss hatású kellemes sör, bár van benne valami nyersesség.

Bottled. (backlog) Deep ambery brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts with some caramel, mild spices as well as some nutty and toffeeish notes. Flavour is caramel, some roasted malts, mild spices, some ripe fruits as well as some slight alcohol to it.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown. Big white head. Smell is sweet, ’Zoethout’ , bit malts. Taste is sharp, malty, mild bitterness. eyes closed, this taste a lot like a triple. More soft though, thnx to the residential sweetness from the dark malts. Not too much roasted taste though. I like it !
