Kombinationen ljus bladhonung och blomblad från lavendel i ett sött mjöd är minst sagt förförisk. Honungen består främst av bladhonung av okänt ursprung, nektarinnehållet är främst från raps och klöverväxter. Lavendeln kommer från Marocko dit biodlaren Mats Larsson reste för att besöka sina släktingar, strax innan han besöktes av Expedition Lokalt Mjöd: Ett perfekt tillfälle att inhandla lite exotiska kryddor att krydda mjöd med. Mjödets sötma är betydligt högre än de flesta mjöd vi tillverkar, dock något torrare än det liknande mjödet ”Bark och Blad” på samma honung. Mjödets vatten kommer från Kallkällan i Flöghult, som en gång i tiden såldes som mineralvatten.

2010 bottle, tasted @ Borefts 2014. Very pale blonde. Honey band lavender in the aroma. Sweet honey flavor with lavender and cinnamon.

Fonefan 300814. Pale golden colour with no head. Aroma is honey, alcohol, floral. Flavour is honey, alcohol, spices, floral. OK mead.

Bottle shared at Borefts beer fest day 2 27/09/2014. Bodegraven. Many thanks to the mead master Jan. Clear pale gressnish yellow petrol coloured pour with no head. Atroma is fairly nice cinamon, nutmeg spices, nice earthy honey. Flavour is composed of sweet honey sugars, christmas spices, hot alcohol. Full ish body, flat, sweet. Lingering sweet oney and spices.

Bottle at Borefts 2014. 185964 pale gold honey aroma. Cinnamom spice. It’s lovely. Light sweet slightly floral herbal. Good.

Bottle shared at BBF 6, thanks to Jan, 27/09/14. Clear washed out light yellow with no head. Nose is sweet, honey, nutty, vanilla, pear drops. Taste comprises hiney, almond, pear juice, apple. Full bodied, viscous mouthfeel, warming alcohol and sweet licks in the close. Decent mead, carries a spiced/herbal edge that breaks up the sweetness and keeps this mead pretty drinkable.

[9/27/14] Bottle sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Thanks fonefan. Very pale yellow color, kinda like white wine. Big honey aroma with some spices and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with honey and mild floral spiciness.

Pale blond colour, more the colour of white wine. Floral aroma, honey, fruity notes, white wine. Quite sweet flavour, honey, light spicy. Spicy finish, floral. Nice.

Bottle at BBF Pours clear . Smell is sweet, honey . Taste is sweet, bit glue-ish . Sweet , but balanced .

sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2014: Blasse hellgelbe Farbe, kein Schaum. Geruch fruchtig, Trauben, Honig, Kräuter. Geschmack süß nach Honig, hefig, trocken.
