Crusher is a collaboration brewed with our friend Troy Casey at Casey Brewing and Blending in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Crusher is a Saison that was fermented and aged with mixed cultures from both Missouri and Colorado in French Oak wine barrels for 12 months and then refermented in a Missouri Oak Foedre with Missouri Norton Grapes before being naturally conditioned in this bottle.

Pours unclear, dark pinkpurple red. No real head. Scent is tart, cherry-like grapes. Bit lactic. Tart, some oak. Taste is full, tart, pretty lactic. More typical US style AmLam than i'm used to from SP. Funk is fairly mild, bit pushed to the back by the acidity. Some wood.

Shared at the March 2024 PS tasting, 3/16/24. Hazy red, thin tan head, average retention. Aroma of grape, bread, cherry, funk. Taste is cherry, plum, berry, funk. Bright, well balanced.

750mL bottle, blend 1, drunk 9/30/23. Clear, muted cherry-raspberry-cranberry color. Small ring of pinkish head quickly fizzles away. Tart, not quite sharp or heavily sour, with strong fruit tannin, moderate lactic acidity and crusty, rustic grain beneath. In the mouth it's reasonably malty, though fully attenuated with strong grape skin and high acidity. Big bursts of lactic acid, as well. Maybe some mellowing over the four years in bottle? Just a touch too dry, acidic, lactic and lightly bitter.

Kanongott. [4/8/4/8/16=4]

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is grape, yeast, funk, oak. Slick body, jammy grape, light funk, oak, more acidic than Casey version, enjoted this.
