A hazed blonde wheat ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light fruity malt with grassy hops, ok. In mouth, an aggressive wheat ale with mineral notes, light Brett, grassy hop, veering on Orval. On tap at Coney Island on tap.

12oz bottle from a Wegman’s in Buffalo, NY. A cloudy pale amber pour with a thin white head; citrus aroma with some wheat in the background; an explosion of grapefruit in the mouth supported by a firm grainy body; and a crisp finish. A great refresher.

29.06.2013, tap @ The Pony Bar NY:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh, light malts, hops, leafs, newly cut lawn, hints of pine needles. Taste is slightly fruity, light malts, fresh hops, newly cut lawn, leafs, hints of dried fruits. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. No idea what this beer has to do with a witbier/wheat. Bummer!

Crisp hazy golden coloured body with a thin one centimetre tall pure white head with a gold tint. Aroma of nice wheat, tons of bright grassy hops, a little alcohol and a good amount of citrus. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong lemony and citrus flavour with a pungent grassy and herbal hop kick, some lighter wheat and minor sugars, a hint of coriander seed freshness and a finish of earthy notes. Aftertaste shows some honey, a bit of herbs and spices, but mainly just wheat and some lemon notes. Overall, a good beer with some nice flavours surrounding the wheat and hops, as an easy-to-drink beer for the summer. Nice to try and recommended if you can find it. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 06-July-2013 for US$1.34 sampled at home in Washington on 15-July-2013.

Actually quite a pleasant beer. Pours cloudy golden with a little head and lacing. Nice head of hops, mash malt and wheat. Poignant yeast. Average carbonation. Sour and sweet finish in equal parts with a touch of bitterness. Well-balanced light beer. Bottle.

Whole Foods, Bowery 355ml ($2): Pours a mostly clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is pretty nice; citrus, dough, bready wheat, and some other fruitiness. Taste doesn’t quite live up to it. Somewhat bitter. Not really sweet until the aftertaste, but even then, minimally so. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Hazy yellow with a white head. Nice aroma of wheat, coriander and floral and citric hops. Flavor starts a bit sweetish, wheaty, somewhat spicy, lemony and a bit tart, continues with pleasant citric hops bitterness. Medium-bodied. A very nice summer beer.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Giannone, 5/22/13

Aroma: Basically, it is what you'd expect from a "hoppy wheat": wheat, pine, lemon, and spice
Appearance: It pours a hazy golden-orange color with a thin white head and light lace
Flavor: Tastes sweet/spicy up-front, with a middle bitterness, and a thin flavor on the finish
Palate: Fairly light bodied, with fizzy carb, and an abrupt finish that give it an extremely short duration
Overall Impression: For some reason this beers falls off really fast. It barely stays on the tongue long enough to say it has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Really, it just had a beginning and a middle, and then disappears right before the end. Honestly, I kind of like what they did here, but the way it completely falls off the cliff in the middle palate is weird, and keeps it from being a better beer.
