Mead is an ancient wine that predates written language. From the mountains of West Virginia, our seasonal honey and spring water combine to produce this traditional sweet drink. This mead is produced with dark, rich honey from Tulip Poplar blooms and aged two years before bottling. Sweet dreams of honey filled streams!

Bottle at the RateBeer DC Cider tasting. Clear golden orange. Aromas of oak, light smoke, honey. Tastes of honey, apples, light booze. Light body with a dry finish.

750ml bottle pours a muddy bronze with no head. Light legs. Nose has honey, mild spice, light wood, wet paper bag. Flavor is bizarre, sweet with honey but also tart with lemon or something industrial. Feet too. Under ripened plum as well, honey and spice. Finish is beyond big. Woof.

Pours clear blonde . Smell is Honey , bit sweet, rather sharp . A slight amount of alcohol . Taste is sweet , with like a spiced finish . Rather thin , but big tastebomb . Slightly carbonated even ( barely ) . Ending is spice, with a soft, honeysweet layer underneath it . Good one. Peppers might actually be booze as well , its hard to tell . Makes this one very interesting though .

Sample from bottle at Brew Skies Festival 2014, courtesy of Ben - thanks! Hazy golden amber color. Amazing floral and fruity aroma. Taste has nice body, herbs, floral, dry finish. My favorite of four meads on offer.
