Alaska’s Most Wanted Series.
First brewed as part of our 2011 World Tour series, MOSCOW Rye Russian Imperial Stout is a hefty, opaque black liquid that pours slowly and soulfully into your snifter. A high percentage of spicy rye and roasted dark malts create a dense, chewy yet elegant winter wonderland of flavors. And from AK we say: Let it Snow…in Moscow.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe as "most wanted". Pours thick and black with a dark tan smear. Aroma is very dark malt, but there does seem to be rye spice. It is oh so full bodied. Full bodied +. Flavor is dark thick treacle, with rye notes (what are notes? Ask Merlin). The flavors are so intense that my head reels. It’s like drinking liquid black bread. With treacle and the black bread is clearly rye bread. Deep breath. It’s frickin flavorful. I cannot comprehend this ale. So I had some beer before this one. Damn good thing. Sort of like vaccination. Doing this beer cold might be fatal! Ok. Enough fun. It’s a really heavy duty beer. If it were BA it would be super killer. If the bourbon would be detectable. Collapse in uproarious laughter at this point.

Bottle. Pours with a inky black hued body with a large and retentive brown head that leaves great lace. Aromas are strong with tobacco, earthy, spicy and bitter chocolate. Freshly baked bread, moderate esters. Flavors are astringent and ashy, tobacco, bitter chocolate. Well hidden alcohol. Not sweet despite the massive body. Viscous and creamy mouthfeel.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small ring of brown head. Aroma of deep roasted malt, soy sauce, cocoa nibs and subtle rye. Flavour is incredibly dense, full of deeply roasted malts, pungent rye and some burnt espresso notes. There are some caramel and soy sauce notes in there as well. Super dense and an all out assault on the palate. Awesome stuff.

Bottle shared Kyle. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of roast with backing bitter chocolate with a hint of anise. Flavor starts full of roasted malts with a ton of backing dark chocolate. An amazing mouthfeel that is oil like.
