large bomber bottle. Pours a purplish color with a small pink head that soon fizzes away. The aroma is strong with mixed berries and some funk. The taste features more berries, tart ones at that, and there is also a bready malty undercurrent flavor. Oddly I seem to associate the flavor combinations as being a bit medicinal in character. The palate is on the lighter side and the carbonation is lively and prickly. Finishes long with lingering sour berries and funkiness. Overall: Decent brew--not bad but also not great. Paired well with some sourdough pretzels.

Bottle, 0.75l. Aroma of must, grape skin, berries, funk and cereals. Pours cloudy ruby color with thin creamy pink head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart vinous, berry-like and citrusy, following is faint funky and grainy with currant and tannin notes, while mouthfeel is smooth and rather dry. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. “Currantly” one of my best grisettes…

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear purple with a ruby hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has tart berry and a bit of funk and oak underlying. Flavor has a great currant note with a bit of sweet grains and oak backing.
