Bottle - Smoke, plum, bacon and some molasses and chocolate. Jet black with a thin red/brown head. Lots of chocolate, smoke and some dark fruit. Smoke isn’t as prominent in the flavor as in the nose.

Bomber. Aroma is light campfire, coffee, chocolate, burnt caramel, vanilla. Pours opaque black with a one finger dark tan head that falls after a minute into a ring. Taste is smokier than the aroma, thankfully. Also, flavors of licorice, molasses, raisins. Oily texture, low carbonation. Not the best smoked beer by any stretch, but it’s not too bad. Second thoughts, 20 minutes later: beer kind of wore out its welcome. Starts tasting like a used ashtray. A bit too heavy for me right now, I think.

Draft: Poured a deep black with a thin cream light brown head that dissipated rather fast. Aroma is soft smoke and chocolate. Taste is super dark bakers chocolate with soft hints of smoke. Towards the end of the glass it picked up and also had roasted coffee bean grit to it.

(tap) clear very dark brown; small brown head; intense aroma of smoked fruit; flavour drier than most peers, very nice
