Bottle pour from share by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an opaque black with nice viscosity, thin cap of khaki head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong earthy malt with oak, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, bourbon, wet leather, tobacco, hint of cherry. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice complexity in aroma and flavor.

22 ounce bottle with silver wax dripped all along the bottle. Aroma shows, oak, bourbon, chocolate-ish malt. Flavor is layered oak, soft layered bourbon, a little tannic. The cherry is here but very mild. BUT definitely found throughout the sip. Focused on the bourbon. Very nice!

Jet black with a decent light brown head. Dark chocolate and cherry notes. Rich dark chocolate and nice cherry notes. Rich and decadent.
Feels more cherry forward than last year but still fantastic level of barrel and chocolate base stout flavors. Still super delish chocolate cordial vibes.

Taster shared with Matt. Appearance: brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: intense, lots of fruity notes and bourbon accompanied by chocolate and some smoky notes. Taste: very thick, fruity, lots of bourbon, nice barrel character. Overall: nice one, better than X anniversary one IMHO.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma reveals a pretty remarkably rich bourbon barrel character, followed by light vanilla, and a touch of dark fruits — not really getting cherries. Flavour, on the other hand, reveals loads of cherries upfront, immediately followed by rich bourbon barrels. The combo of cherries and bourbon seems to be creating the syrupy, sticky palate that is undeniable. Sweet but not cloying. I really like the bourbon character, but not sure the cherry incorporation works perfectly. It's damn tasty though, just not at the level of some of their other heavy beers.

Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is spice, dark chocolate, cherry skin, tobacco, amaretto, bourbon, wood. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, boozy, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
