Pale amber, no head. The aroma has a touch of phenol and a bit of pale malt. On the palate, it's got a slightly sharp acidity, and there's a bit of phenol, some barrel lending a rounded note, and a touch of sugar. Little bit of wood in there. Good complexity, sort of a minor flaw with that touch of phenol.

375mL bottle, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out moderate barnyard funk, whiskey barrels, and some vanillin. Flavour has some phenols, whiskey barrels, lots of barnyard funk, big champagne-like effervescence, and more phenols. It's not egregiously phenolic, but that car tire character doesn't help. I like the funk and champagne-like carb, but the phenols need to be ironed out. Man, Jester King has fucked up a lot of these Spon versions with phenols.

Bottle pours out golden straw topped and white head. Nose is nice funky barrel come green apple and citrus notes. Taste is more of the nice tart funky barrel notes light fruit touch and some whiskey spice notes.
For being double barrel aged the whiskey notes are soft but sweet, not boozy, mostly spon notes but combined it's really nice.

Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours golden with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is funk, wood, straw, bourbon, apple skin. Light body, funky, apple, wood, light booze, tart, very nice.
