A boldly, aromatic, spicy & dry saison brewed with wheat & oats, hopped with New Zealand-grown Pacifica & Pacific Gem Hops. Fermented with a blend of farmhouse yeasts & seasoned with Spicebush berries (locally foraged from The Woodlawn Estate Farm of our very own Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture). Brewed in Collaboration with Kevin Saldana, winner of our Snallygaster Guest Brewer Contest.

Bottle shared by Travlr at the WWWW Mid Atlantic Summer Beer Tasting. Gusher. Hazy yellow, huge foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of yeast, pepper, spice, white bread. The taste is bread, yeast, dry stone fruits. Medium bodied, lingering spice, high carbonation.

750ml bottle. Unfiltered thick orange body. Mineral dry saison aroma. Funky US saison, a little earthy. Drinkable, easy on the palate. Soapy, earthy. Deep into the style. Solid.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of earthy grain, light fruit and grass with a hint of funk. Flavor has sweet and earthy grains with a bit of grass, some light fruits and a touch of spice.

Draft at the source. Hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma of herbal lemon. Taste is lightly spiced lemon. More spice than bush. Of course, I have no idea what a spicebush is. I picture a shrubbery with little bottles of rosemary and thyme hanging from it, but that’s probably not right. Tasty beer anyway.
