A new & updated batch of our complex & quenching wild ale 1st crafted for the 2014 Snallygaster beer fest. Funky, golden & bright, this ale was brewed with Warrior, Horizon & Southern Cross Hops, fermented with a proprietary blend of saison yeast, lactobacillus & multiple strains of Brettanomyces, then matured for 3 months in stainless steel tanks. Earthy, grassy and funky floral aromas punctuate insisten suggestions of zesty lemon & white grapefruit.

On tap at the brewery pours a hazy yellow with some tight, white head. Nose has some citrus, some mild yogurt, some juicy character, a little yeast. Flavor is a bit watery, some of the promised grapefruit, some muddled citrus, grass, some green bell pepper. Watery finish.

Draft - Bright citrus and some funk. Clear gold with a nice white head. Light funky cheesy notes and light fruity esters. A little tartness or bitterness would have lifted this nicely.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a slightly hazy yellow color, with a small off-white head. Aroma was some light funk, some mild, juicy notes. Flavor was lacking a bit in the funky arena. Some light pepper notes and mild citrus. GF said "this isn’t funky."
