16 ounce can from Tavour. This version comes in at 12% ABV. Jet black pour. Brief tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma hints at vanilla and cinnamon. Flavor is rich and robust. Notes of dark brewed coffee, vanilla and cinnamon. Added notes of molasses and maple syrup. Boozy undertones. Maybe some charred wood, as well. Certainly interesting.

Can. Pours thick black with a small tan head and good lacing. Aroma is waffles indeed, maple syrup, cocoa, vanilla. Taste is rich maple syrup poured over an espresso mocha with a bit of vanilla. Quite sweet, light plus bitter. Full body.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of maple syrup, blueberry, coffee, toffee. Pours black with brown edges and a one finger tan head that settles into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste is highly sweet but never cloying, with a moderately bitter edge. Tastes like waffles with blueberries and lots of syrup and a cup of coffee alongside. Oily mouthfeel. Nice pastry stout.

On tap at the member party. Pours black with small tan head. The aroma is strong maple syrup, vanilla, roasted malt. Slick body, maple, vanilla, cocoa, roast, boozy finish, enjoyed this.
