Barrels – Eagle Rare, Blanton’s, Willett Bourbon, 4 Roses OBSV, Weller 12 year, Jim Beam
Time Aged in Oak – 14 to 42 months
We believe BBT 2021 showcases the rich chocolate and sweet coconut notes of this massive style while also providing the needed roundness and integration of the bourbon and oak characteristics to produce a harmonious experience.

Magus, tugev šokolaad, linnased, röst, burboon, vanilje, tihke, kakao, alko. Väga hea.

Bouteille 75cl, split with the fine folks at El Birrot, thanks Isaac and Sergi.
Couleur noire huile de moteur, huileux doré au verre.Col quasi absent, mais qcq fines bulles moka voire café au lait sont présentes.
Arôme est d'emblée boozy - ensuite un gros nez des malts - caramel, chocolat, dark malrs, roast, le tout avec un léger côté soja et un fin boisé de vanille.
Palais est profond sur les malts - ça ne rigole pas du tout. Le tout est sirupeux, cacao, caramel, dark sugar, Vienna, petite note de fruits noirs, boozy marqué tout au long - alcool brun, berry jam, léger vanille.
Effervescence est moyenne sur faible ce qui accentue la sensation de booze.
Pas mauvaise, mais à 15%, c’est bcp trop, l'assemblage de tellement de fûts en devient confus surtout en assemblant des bières toutes aussi forte en alcool l'une que l'autre. Dernier point, lourd à partager même à 4, sans parler du prix.

Bottle shared. Pitch black with no head. Bourbon oak, chocolate, toasted malt, roast in both aroma and taste. Insanely balanced with perfect booze/roast/sweetness ratio. Impressive.

75 cl bottle @ Hatanpää tasting room Aroma has liquor, licorice and alcohol. Also intense malt. Thick palate. Flavour has licorice, alcohol, liquor. Heavy stuff, alcohol is somewhat too strong here.

Flaska från Side Project, vintage 2021. Kolsvart, ingen egentligen krona, annat än en mörkbrun om man anstränger sig. Toffee, choklad, lakritstoner, massor av fat, Bourbon, läder, vanilj, torkad frukt. Stor, kladdig kropp. Fortfarande hög sötma. Absolut fat, men kan nästan önska något mer. Ölen inte tämjd. Men kalasgott.

5 oz. pour on tap at the brewery. It's an opaque inky black with no sparkle, head or lacing but excellent viscosity. Aroma is strong bourbon, caramel, oak and base roasted malts. Taste is strong bourbon, caramel, oak, dark fruit, roasted malt and mild chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick, smooth texture, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Overall, strong flavors with good complexity all in nice balance. Nice to see what can be done with a straightforward stout without adjuncts except for the barrel. Very nice.!
FLN, dried fruit barrel sweetness and boozy figs. Stacked rich flavor. Also just realized I forgot the photo so this'll have to do!

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong chocolate, bourbon, oak, vanilla. Slick body, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, dark fruit, bourbon, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
