Pale amber and hazy. Thin, bubbly head. Super sweet aroma, light barrel, mostly bourbon. Ok this one is sticky, boozy and unbalanced. The barrel character isn’t bad, but the base is a bit much.

Bottle. Pours clear hazel with a small off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, oak tannin, dark sugars, toffee, werthers. Flavour is medium sweet, light plus bitter, boozy but smooth. A bit hot. Medium body. Quit excellent.

On tap at AleSmith, pours a clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is boozy, with lots of bourbon barrels, earthy rye barrels, and caramel. Flavour is ridiculously intense, with bourbon barrels, toffee, brown sugar, and booze. Complex, decadent and boozy. Lovely extreme barley wine.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and caramel aroma. Caramel and light grapefruit flavor. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel and light toffee linger with light grapefruit. Good bourbon throughout.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy copper with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong bourbon, oak, toffee. Medium body, toffee, oak, raisin, fig, strong bourbon, very nice.
