Conceived in collaboration with Casita Cerveceria, this mythical, barrel-aged flavor beast was aged in rye whiskey barrels and lavished with extravagant amounts of vanilla, yielding a decadent, dessert-laden profile complemented by beautiful notes of whiskey-kissed oak.

Black. Dark brown head. Rich chocolatey aroma, light vanilla. Big bitterness, chocolate, solid rye barrel. Toasty and tannic, with intense black sugar. The rye character is excellent, and the interplay between the rye and the black sugar malt richness, vanilla sweetness, tannins and alcohol is fantastic.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of intense vanilla beans, spicy rye whiskey barrels, and some dark sugars. Flavour is very rich and dense, with a wonderful mix of deep vanilla beans, light spiciness from the rye whiskey, attenuated dark sugars, and some dark fudge. Thatβs a succulent vanilla bean character atop a rich malty base. Excellent.

Loads of vanilla, rye, some alcohol. Taste is along the same lines, kinda harsh, black chocolate. Kinda too much vanilla. It doesn't really work well with rye, I believe, making beer abrasive and requiring sophistication

12oz canned 10/16/2020, drunk 5/29/24. Dark, tan head, very large. This is actually over carbonated at 4 years old. Let's hear it for the real carbonation in this can. After swirling off the carbonation, there's plentiful rich vanilla and caramel-laced chocolate maltiness. Rye is felt with spice and light acid. Drying the still very malty character. Soft, velvety, rich vanilla with some engagingly acidic rye. Soft, malty, not-quite -syrupy texture. Definitely generous on the rye bite, but the Choco-caramel-vanilla is comforting and rich. Not boozey, though quite barrel forward with plentiful tannin.

12oz can at share. Near black pour with a layer of beige foam. Aroma is roasty, vanilla, chocolate. Taste introduces the rye and its savory, spce notes, vanilla edging out the chocolate. Silky smooth, creamy.

Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head. The aroma is strong vanilla bean, rye whiskey, wood. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, light booze, very balanced, enjoyed this.
