Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is roasted malt with cocoa, caramel, chocolate, liquorice, syrup, molasses, fudge, soy sauce, and dried dark fruits. Flavour is quite sweet with a roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is full. Sweet and tasty Stout, bit heavy on the liquorice, syrup and molasses. Decent for the style.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate truffles, black bread, raisins, vanilla, coffee, caramel and liquorice. Malty, roasted, sweetish taste with dark chocolate, black bread, rum raisins, vanilla, coffee, liquorice, caramel, syrup and a balanced roasty/peppery bitterness. Full body, sweet. Rich, creamy and a bit boozy. Very nice.

Bottle from Geers. Cloudy black, small, foamy, beige head. Rich aroma of fondant, dark fudge, ripe plum, fig, pear, whisky, leather, soy sauce, Irish coffee, walnut, tobacco. Taste has sweet plum, fig & pear in a thick, dark-chocolatey, fudge-like malt body with slight spicy notes and a leathery & soy-like umami edge. Bitter espresso pops up and lead the way to the herbal & peppery hoppy finish, offering more darkest fondant, coffee roast and some candied fruits with warming whisky-like alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very solid Imperial Stout in the old-fashioned way.

At TLVCBF, small bubbly head, opaque very dark brown colour, aroma of dark bread, toasted notes and a earthy hint, very sweet chocolate flavor with rum and some charred notes and lots of alcohol. Surprisingly balanced despite the alcohol, very good.

Opaque black-brownish color and a nice tan head. Sweetish, vanilla, milk chocomate, roasted malts. Intense sweet taste, vanilla and a chocolate-coffee finish. Really nice!
