Taster at the brewery. Pitch black with a small khaki head. Has a faint, but distinct aroma. The flavor is kind of a muddy mix of maple, caramel and alcohol, and the alcohol flavor overpowers everything else. Another boozy mess. Tick.

On tap at the anniversary. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt and licorice. Slick body, raisin, toasted malt, licorice, light dry finish, very good.
