Brooklyn Shackmeister Ale was developed for the sort of fresh-off-the-grill staples that everyone loves. A slightly sweet malt base and a refreshing burst of hops makes it a welcome companion to griddled burgers, crisp fries, snappy hot dogs and beyond.

Draft @ Shake Shack Ebisu, Tokyo. Pours light amber, not very foamy and plastic cup filled until the rim. Nose is caramelly but also some herbal hop character. Taste is quite hop-forward, that malt caramel has been overpowered by decent hopping, feels quite light and tilted to hoppy side. However, once you pair that beer with a Shake Shack burger, you understand that it’s actually designed to cut down the crease and add some lighter notes to the meal. Pretty good pairing actually. Beer itself has a dry herbal hop finish, dry moderately bitter linger. If this is a bitter as a style then its American Bitter, too hoppy and crisp for British version.
