Muddy Clay Brown, medium Head Leaves Decent Lacing. Typical Belgian Yeast Aroma. Sweet, Malt, Yeast, Boozy. Must like Belgians, can’t imagine regular Miller or Bud Crowd enjoying this one. Medium body, easier to drink than others with lower ABV. Explains a lot about pirates, those fellas did not know math too good. Miscalculate and you will need prosthetics or an eye patch.

Bottled, 0.33l. Hazy pale golden color with small creamy white head and fizzy carbonation. Aroma is fruity, mainly of pears, citruses and bananas, on the other hand also yeasty, bready, spicy and floral. Taste starts with refreshing fruity sourness, while followed by spicy yeastiness. This beer is very well balanced, not too sweet, but with warm alcoholic mouthfeel and mild bitter and crispy finish. Full body, slick to oily texture and fizzy natural carbonation in palate. Classy, but it could be better...

Bouteille 330ml.

This one has more lasting head than the dark Boucanier. The smell is perfumed, floral hops and colour a murky blond. Heavy body that fills up a few breaths after swallowing. A good beer. Bottle in a gift pack at LCBO
