This milk stout has been based on a classic North East recipe. To further enhance the taste this beer has been aged in wooden Rioja barrels for 6 months giving it those distinctive dark fruit aromas and flavours finishing with a satisfying smoky aftertaste.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Black colour, thin beige rim and aroma of malt, molasses, chocolate. Taste is sweet, roasty malt, caramel, with smokey notes, coffee & chocolate, and nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasted bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

26/2/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Morecambe tasting. From CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours almost black with a large frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, dark fruits, blackberry, roasted malt, slightly woody. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness, light fruity tartness. Medium body, quite watery and fizzy. Looked good but disappointingly watery and fizzy.
