Cherry Dark has been modified to become a true sister beer to Plum Porter. Cherry Porter has the same quaffable nature as Plum Porter, the same abv but the delicious flavours of Rainier Cherries instead.

Bottle from a Carlisle grocer. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of cherry and brown bread. Taste is more of the same. Sweet finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol October 2023. Dark, ruby red, in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Some vibrant cherry upfront, followed by a solid maltiness, more subdued dark berries, and a finish which avoided being overly sweet. Good.

On cask. Appearance - deep amber to brown with red chinks. Decent beige head. Nose - definitely cherry with an edge of plum. Brown bread backdrop. Taste - cherry for sure, cherry stone and brown bread. Palate - medi bodied, roasty finish. Overall - like it but probably wouldn't want another.

Cask handpull at The County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear ruby colour lasting beige head. Cherry aroma. Cherry and chocolate flavour. Very fruity. Odd mix of fruit and dark fruit. Its OK. Bit like a chocolate liquor

[Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley.] A deep ruby red pour with a tight tan coloured cap; rich cherry’s aroma; velvety in the mouth with sweet cherries to start, then becoming quite bitter, giving a sour cherry finish. Very good.

Gravicask, half, shared with Finn at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Ruby-black body, beige, bubbly head, clingy lacing. Inviting aromas of dark berry skins. Fine blended taste of cherry and chocolate malts. Not overly sweet to the finish. Medium bodied. Nice. (St Albans, 27.09.2023).
