Bottle from Alehub. Hazy amber red with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit, wood and light hoppy - citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with lots of alcohol. Oily. 190823

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark amber colour with slightly late awakening, small, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Condensed, zesty, citrusy fruity, slightly dank, resinous hoppy and slightly alcoholic aroma, sugary malty background, notes of orange, mandarine, lemon, orange peel, candied orange peel, a touch of Cointreau, Grand Marnier; weak hints of oxidation, a touch of almond, marzipan, slight Barleywine character. Taste is bitter, zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, caramel malty with surprisingly low residual sweetness, notes of orange peel, orange, mandarine, lemon, marmalade, hints of Cointreau, Grand Marnier, some lemon zest, candied orange peel, a touch of almond, marzipan; alcohol is well hidden throughout, becomes just recognizable whilst a slightly warming finish. Slightly viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly tacky palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Well controlled sweetness, seemingly light and surprisingly fresh due to the zesty citrus flavours - felicitous.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Fruity-malty alcoholic aroma. Starts very strong, alcoholic, malty-grainy. Sharp fruity notes in the background, overloaded by alcohol. Not much of an IIPA left. But quite interesting.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of caramel, honey, flowers and dried fruit. Pours cloudy brown color with thick creamy tan-like head, nice lacing, yeast residue and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet caramel, peach, dried fruit and resin, following is herbal, piney and toasted with vanilla note, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is heavy bitter. Full body, sticky texture and average carbonation in palate. Hot stuff…

Voluminöser, hopfig-würziger Beginn. Süßlich, alkoholisch, milde Herbe, erstaunlich hohe Süffigkeit. Bitter-würzig, der Hopfen bleibt intensiv, cremig, hohe Viskosität. Harzig, der Alkohol bleibt deutlich erkennbar. Lecker! 11/10/12/12/9/12
