Bottle. Mourky red amber, amber foam. Classic pine, grapefruit, stonefruit notes. Full bodied, solid, sweet, pine sirup, intense bitter, classic west coast hops, old school US barley wine intensified, but still sippable. Impressive they managed to concentrate it like this and still be mostly drinkable.

Hazy dense golden. Aroma is tropic fruit marzipan white bread. Taste is bitter hops with syrupy malt. The bitterness lasts for several seconds after swallowing with full force bitter hops. Heavy af. One if the most bitter beers i had.

Bottle. Murky amber color with white head. Aroma is peach, booze, caramel, kompot. Taste is peach, leafy, raisins, grassy, resinous, sticky. Heavily bitter finish, thicc oily mouthfeel with soft and fine-bubbled carbonation. Not bad actually, in small quantities. It's basically an American Barleywine with concentrated, almost medicinal bitterness.

Bottle picked up from Craftbeer webshop Parchim Germany and consumed at home Sunday 6th February 2022 after hike around WΓΆrthsee today. We had Zarzuela for tea tonight, not a classic example but fine. Pours murky orange with a large white head. Wow this is bitter, it is full of resinous and marmalade flavours, okay it's heavy on the sweetness with a barley wine touch but my oh my brutally bitter. Thickness in the mouth, boozy, this is a wonderful absolute beast of a beer. Not sure whether it's the beer or not but I feel that it's induced a sneezing fit. This is tremendous.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before December 2022. Minimally hazy, ruby with a medium large, dense, stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity-resiny aroma of marmelade, orange, tea and pine. Fairly sweet, malty, gently bitter, rather fruity-resiny taste of lots of marmelade, pine, orange, honey, even raisins and a touch of red fruits, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, warming, fairly resiny finish. Full body, very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Sublime stuff, very intense and heavy but also very enjoyable. Like a Quad IPA, and I'm a sucker for this. Definitely the best eisbocked beer from Freigeist and Vormann so far.
