A Flanders-style Oud Bruin, wild fermented on cherries with Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces. This tart brown ale will certainly wake up your tongue.

Dark brown, medium opacity, no head. Vinegar and acetone up front on the nose -maybe even butyric. On the palate okay definitely butyric, more ropey than a beer this old should be, Zhenjiang vinegar, medium tartness but yeah I'm not going to get past the butyric.

330mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a medium faded pink head. Aroma is buggy, with Worcestershire sauce, balsamic notes, tart cherries, and a bit of lacto. Flavour is bizarre for the style, with lacto in back followed by cherries, light bugs, some balsamic and booze. This certainly doesn't seem very authentic. The lacto is rather annoying, throwing off the other elements, but it's pleasant enough for what it is.

Has nice dark brown body and good foam. Aroma is nice tart maltiness, some molasses. Tastes of nice cocoa, maltiness, burlap, ending just a little thin. A good Flanders red, just a few tweaks would make it great.
