Bottle from Beer52. Clear mahogany, small white head which doesn't last. Aroma of toffee, grains, sweetened pear, brown bread. Taste is quite malty with toffee and brown bread notes, tangy raisin and fig, finish is dry and moderately bitter. Not enough fruity esters or hopping to compliment the rye elements. Very drinkable but dull.

Bottle at home. Pours clear deep amber, nose is caramel, toffee, citrus, taste is sweet toffee, herbs, bitter, dry.

Bottle from Low Cost Beer. Appearance - cloudy amber to red. Off white crema head. Nose - dried orange, glacé cherry and general cakiness. Taste - more cake, and cherries. Some almond or hazelnut. Palate - medium bodied and lightly roasty through middle and finish. Overall - great beer.

Ruby colour, good creamy off-white head. Caramalt, bread in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Caramalt and some nuttyness in the flavour. Light earthy hops. Good in its style.

Smell of licorice. Copper colour, off-white head. Aroma of rye, sweet malt, faint yeasty sweetness. Sweet. Medium carbon. Nice.

44 cl can @ home, BBE. Batch #677, BBE 07.12.2023 Aroma has rye, sticky sweet malt, nuts, toffee. Flavour has rye, syrup, minerals, sticky sweet malt. Some grassy/grapefruity hops lingering in the finish. Feels a bit metallic and harsh at the end. Nothing special.

Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, rye, caramel, sweet malt, fruity hops, earthy - nutty touch. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20230122]
