Irish Stout. Reverend Hooker is a smooth, creamy dry Irish stout. Pouring black with a tight white head, toasted malt & dried fruit aromas merge with earthy hop notes & evolve into a sublimely smooth & silky palate. Luscious roast malt characters of coffee & toast make way for a long & noble bitterness & delectably dry finish.

On tap at Brewery Tap, Chester. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized tan head. Aroma as basically roasted malts. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and a little smoky. Roast malts again the mainstay flavourwise, plus dandelion and burdock and some hints of toffee. Some slight bitterness in the finish. It’s reasonable I suppose.

Keg draught at Bottle & Board with travlr. Dark dark brown, opaque with a full tight beige/khaki head. Lots of big roasted malt, some espresso on the nose.Taste is bittersweet with dark malts. Dry, dry, dry on the finish. It's got a watery body and soft carbonation. Not Round Corner's best but still reasonable.

Tight light brown head left a cover on a deep brown still body. Malt, demerara, caramel & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, lively on the tongue with smoother clean back. Bitter, roasted, chocolate, malt, fruity tastes with a nicely hopped tangy finish. Good stuff.
