Bottle shared with JFE at Beerstorming, Brussels, 05.10.19. Ebony. Foamy pale brown head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of tobacco, dark malt, cocolate and pineapple. Slightly too fizzy carbonation.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Hazy dark brown, lasting, foamy, tan head. Aroma of prune, raisin, licorice, caramel, Coca-Cola, brioche, mocha, nuts. Taste is medium malty sweet, quite fruity, raisin & prune on a caramelly & brioche-like base, nutty edge, vague bitter tea leaves & mocha, making it finish dryish, herbal hoppy, with more caramel & dried fruits. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Delivers the prunes but does so with too little depth.

28/IV/19 - sample @ Zythos Bierfestival 2019 (Leuven), BB: n/a - (2019-638) Thanks to nathanvc, 77ships & Anke for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of overripe banana, bit malty, caramel, sugary impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: gentle bitterness, malty, banana, very yeasty, soft roasted touch. Aftertaste: some dried fruits, bit sourish, banana peel, little bitter, pretty dry finish. Where's them prunes? Also: hilarious translation in the festival's booklet. Not two black malts, but two little black men. :p

Dark brown with lasting head. Flavour has some fruity notes. Sweet plums. Misses some body and intensity though.

Deep black body. Off-white creamy head. Intense aroma of dark, dried fruit, malts, ... lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Bit astringent.

33cl bottle from Delhaize Chazal in Brussels. F: big, tanned, long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: sweet dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits, bit spicy, cocoa, toast. T: solid dark malty backbone, dark fruity, chocolate, nice herbal spicy touch (spelt?), cocoa, bit dried prunes yet dry on the palate, medium to full body, bit higher carbonation, nice balanced beer, good one, enjoyed.
