Draught (backlog). More or less pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, alcohol, liquorice and ripe dark fruits. Flavour is coffee, ripe fruits, some liquorice, toasted malts and mild alcohol to it.

Draught at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour black, small white head. Taste is roasted malts, coffee and licorice. Too sweet for me.

(Draught at Black Door, 20120831) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, liquorice, smoke and ash. Palate was full bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, ash, hops, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, sweet, smoky and bitter. A tasty and balanced imperial stout. Alcohol was quite well hidden.

Pours pitch black with a foamy head. Aroma of roasty and toasted malts, some rye notes, hints of nuts and licorice. Taste is slightly roasty with salty licorice, hints of rye and nuts. Finish is smooth and heavy bodied with some toasty malty notes, roastiness and licorice. Well balanced, traditional imperial stout.

Aroma has lots of coffee, some salty licorice and soy sayce. Flavour is somewhat sweet with rye, some coffee, salty licorice and soy sauce. Lirocice notes grow stronger towards the finish. This one has some similarities with their Savuruisstout. A bit too salty but rather pleasant anyway. Brilliant work StaPa!
