From bottle at Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Wild tart plum aroma with herbal notes, sweetish fruit, nicely tart and sourish flavour. Some cranberry? Medium body. Light fruit yoghurt. Pleasant!

Fles @ Carnivale Brettanomyces. Light pink haze. Cherry juice and marzipan in the aroma. Moderately sour flavor with cherry juice and lemon. Vinous notes. Very nice.

Sour fruit ale made by a new Austrian project, this one with plum; tasted from a bottle at Bierkoning in Amsterdam during Carnivale Brettanomyces. Snow white, open, mousy ring, cognac-tinged near-clear amber colour. Weird aroma of rosehip tea, tomateo peel, yoghurt, lemon juice, freshly cut cucumber, oxidized dry sherry, apple peel, sourdough. Sour onset, lemony-acidic, redcurrant, but actual plum flavour hardly recognizable, if at all; I get more a sour, unripe tomato-like impression, embedded in spritzy carbonation on a smooth, thinnish cereally basis and dried by ongoing lemony acidity, though nowhere overly harsh. Plum peel tannic notes at the back, tad powdery and seemingly oxidized, with this green tomato effect and rosehip aspects lingering. Interesting sour, but weird and demanding; plum flavour hardly comes across, which I think could not have been the intention to begin with.

Bottle at De Bierkoning in Amsterdam. Amber clear pour with orange highlights, no foam. Nose: black prunes, dried prunes aroma. Terrific! Mouth: it tastes a bit peculiar, fermented prunes, souring overal with the usual peppery hidden finish.

From bottle at CBF Wien 19.
Copper-brownish, hazy body, with a small, yellowish head.
Aroma of smooth plums, red fruits, leather, overripe fruits, some apples.
Tastes quite similar, while with more almond, more sourish plums.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, moderate sour, ripe, leathery, with red apples, cherries.

Tasty. Especially the taste is really lovely, with beautiful fruits and almond notes. Drinks smooth and balanced, with a good amount of complexity. Another really interesting one from the series.
