Bottle from Carrefour, Sint-Kruis. Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of apple juice, lime, overripe orange, industrial honey, burnt white sugar, bubblegum, chewing gum, vague soap. Taste is medium to heavy sugary sweet, lots of industrial white sugar & honey, apple juice & pineapple mixed together oddly, sourish touch of lime & bitter notes of grass, spices, mint, giving it a chewing gum effect. Dryish, faintly floral hoppy finish, overpowered by apple juice, sugary & spicy notes, and a dash of white rum-like alcohol, but less wry than expected. Medium body, slick-sticky texture, fizzy carbonation. I guess that Dubuisson is trolling us.

33cl bottle from Prik&Tik Kampenhout, #4488. F: big, creamy, white, good retention. C: gold, hazy, semi-transparent. A: apples, bit banana, bit artificial rum like, bit brown sugar. T: sweet rum fruity, bit brown sugar, apples juice, bit like apples cookies, this is all about the label and pop-up drinks hype, medium body and carbonation, very sweet all together so this is hard to rate as a beer for sure.

Cuvée des Trolls flavored with rhum aroma and apple concentrate, from a frosted, green longneck bottle - clearly a gimmick aimed at a young alcopop audience much like Desperados, Cubanisto and the like, not a hopeful sign... Cobweb-lacing, egg-white, medium thick, frothy and mousy, slowly dissipating head on a misty peach blonde beer with vague orangey tinge and lively sparkling. Aroma of strong and very industrial apple juice (as feared), stewed apple and industrial sweet cider, banana, soggy white bread, industrially 'fake' rum extract, ironed cotton cloth, grass, chewing gum, raw cane sugar, brown paper bags, unripe pear. Sweet onset as expected, but a bit less sugary than feared, with that unmistakable and awful artificial rum thing obvious enough from the start, as well as an overwhelming and equally artificial green apple flavor superseding the beer's natural banana and peach fruitiness; sharp and numbing carbonation adds a certain sourishness, accentuating the apple juice aspect. Soft, fluffy bready and slick caramel-tinged maltiness, light phenolic spicy aspects and a somewhat wry bitterishness in the end, from floral hops but also rather chemical in nature, yet still no match for that ongoing and 'fake' apple and rum sweetness. A simple yet correct Belgian blonde ruined by two artificial, almost chemical flavors and too much added sugar, resulting in a huge clash of flavors, this is by far the worst Dubuisson product ever - a brewery I have for long held in a certain esteem; I can see its commercial appeal and noted that it does enjoy the expected success with young people in Wallonia, but this is not a beer for people who care about beer. Childish as well as ugly, ridiculous alcopop 'beers' like this should be wiped off the face of the planet as far as I'm concerned, but I must admit that this is at least made from a Belgian ale and only in that specific sense perhaps superior to the same kind of products based on cheap industrial lagers. Still, what possessed Dubuisson to execute such an ill-fated idea, I will never understand.

Bottle. Golden color with a medium small head, disappearing. Aroma is malty, with clear apple notes. Taste is very sweet, malty, apple and also some kind of rum notes but both quite artificial. Not my beer, didn't like it at all. Actually if I would have read the label I wouldn't have bought it, just there was a 30% discount :D and I erroneously thought it was somehow similar to the Cuvée des Trolls that I quite liked it.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Inoven. Clear yellow golden color, average sized white head. Aroma is interesting, in the sense that it is a decent mix of aromas that blend together quite well. Flavor though: artificial rum comes through pale lager notes. Average body and carbonation.

Nasmaak is iets wrang.
