Low-colour and local, gently-malted East Anglian barley gives a light, fruity base, with plenty of body. Hell Cat gets its kick from the blend of American hops, packed with bright, citrus flavours. Most of these are added late on in the brew, giving great taste without too much bitterness.

Cask @ Magnet, Stockport [011114]
Straw, clear, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma of light citrus, light zest, dab of lemon
Taste of light soft pale malts, some bitter citrus, slight lemon, think there is some English hop in there as well
Palate - Light body, quite bitter, light sweet pale malt background, bit oily. Finish as main flavour, a bit dry, bitter finish.
Overall - Easy going. Condition is great.

Cask at the Claret. It pours straw yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is citrus fruit (particularly lemon), tinned fruit and floral notes. The taste is zesty citrus, rather dry, biscuit, touch of soap, floral and some bitterness with a dry, citric finish. Light-medium body and soft. A solid citrussy golden ale.
