Ervaar de oogst van Schaarbeekse krieken in het zacht zoetzure karakter van deze 9 maand gemacereerde krieken. Deze blend van echte krieken en foederbier bevat 6% alcohol en is een must “taste” dit seizoen. Deze karmijnrode kriek heeft een licht roze schuim en is een fruitbom: kersen, aardbeien en frambozen omhelzen de delicate en etherische geuren van balsamico.
Er zijn tevens toetsen van vanille en hazelnoten waar te nemen. Dit bier heeft negen maand gerijpt in aanwezigheid van kersen op houten foeders, waardoor we de subtiele noten van hout en en een zweem van amandelen kunnen waarnemen. De verfrissende zuren worden afgewisseld met een licht speelse zoetheid die voor evenwicht en een zachte afdronk zorgt.

Bottle @ Qvarteret (test tasting). Unclear reddish brown body under a medium sized tan head. Aroma has much cherry with almond in the background, also hint of neutral wood and some acid. Taste is sweet malt and cherry with balancing acidity, almond, wood and fruit candy. Balanced body with sweet and sour aftertaste. Not bad, but a bit surprising and an unusually balance between very sweet and quite acidic – nothing in-between. Still it feels a bit artificial.

Medium pink head over deep-red burgundy coloured beer. Cherrystones, organic cyanides, cherryjuice, intense. Hint at fruitacids and -aromas. Sweet, but with bursts of red fruit and fruitacids behind. Meaty, even some hints at roast; cherry pie. Thick, almost chewy despite some light acidthinning. Oily feel, covering the mucoses long after. Sweet but excellent (even if my co-taster strongly disagrees) all the same! Txs to Stef!

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of cherry flavoured candy, sugary sweet impression, hint of acidity. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, lots of acidity, fruity, cherry flavoured candy, fruity notes. Aftertaste: acidic, lemony, some vinegar even, very sourish, fruity, some cherries, bit dry. Weird combo of very high acidity with rather artificial fruitiness.
