Can at home, 30th April 2022. Pours a black ale. Aroma is liquorice, mocha, caramel, coffee. Taste is bitter chocolate and cocoa, coffee, barrel and liquor, wet wood, well integrated and a fine BA again from Kees

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is roasty, bourbon midly recognizable. Taste is very high on bourbon, sharp bourbon grainyness. Roasty back, balance a bit too much towards the barrel to me - yet not at all too boozy or hot. Very decent, rather sweet, medium full to full body. Medium carbo. Mild woody notes.

0.33 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before February 2026. Pitch black with a thin, foamy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut and fruity bourbon. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, lots of coffee, hazelnut and quite some bourbon, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, gently earthy, a bit boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Heavy and rich Imperial Stout, well-balanced barrel-aging, a little sharp but quite good.
