330ml on Ryan's deck shared with Alex. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: first nose had quite a lot of vanilla and chocolate, but after it got more to the burnt oak barrel territory. Taste: along the same lines, lots of bourbon spirit, getting to the burnt oak barrel and roasted malt territory. Overall: quite nice, complex, and balanced beer, definitely worth trying, and maybe not even once :-)

Poured from 330mL can. Dark brown with small beige head. Bourbon forward, oak, some nice roast, light molasses as it warms. Balanced and tasty.

330mL can, pours jet black with a medium tan head. Nose is full of bourbon barrels, low-to-medium sweetness, some oak, and molasses. Flavour is full of big bourbon barrels upfront, followed by dark sugars, medium sweetness, and some oak. There's also a healthy roastiness underneath that paves the way for the bourbon. Never been a huge fan of Buffalo Trace, but the barrel aging here is done very well. Excellent.

330 ml can. Pours black with full fizzy tan head. Aromas of oaky bourbon, candi sugar, caramel, dark fruit and soft roasted malts. Flavors follow same. Beautiful balance; Barrel aging done well.

Can from Hopduvel. Cloudy black, thin, beige head. Aroma of bourbon, green apple (acetaldehyde), chocolate sauce, dark fudge, candied date, plum, cookie, spices. Taste has very sweet candied plum & date in a chocolatey, bit sugary malt body, gently roasted. Herbal hoppy finish offering sweet fondant, dried fruits and boozy bourbon alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. My feared acetaldehyde returns as expected in this 'BBA' but there is sufficent maltiness to counter that. Enjoyable!

Can at home, from HOTM online, 01/06/22. Black with a decent tan covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate dipped raisins, light spice, bourbon, treacle toffee, brown sugar melt, molasses. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, molasses, chocolate, rye barrel, dried fruit rinds, charr, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced spiked of alcohol. Solid BA impy ... straight up on point old skool affair utilising a quality Rye.
