Big Smoke make a great range of beers and we’ve enjoyed quite a number of them up at the brewery. The opportunity to collaborate was quickly taken up and we’re very excited for this bold flavoured IPA. Deep gold in colour, with intense aromas of citrus and pine, the body is balanced, robust and hop forward. Flavours of orange and pink grapefruit combine with just a hint of caramel.

Hops: Idaho 7 / Amarillo
Malts: Low Colour Maris Otter / Caramalt / Munich / Wheat

Can picked up from Thornbridge website and consumed at Scott and Mandy's, Dumbleton, Worcestershire, Sunday 15th May 2022 listening to Patrice Baumel, about to cook a huge T-Bone Steak. Pours clear copper, really is a good clarity with a white head. Excellent bittersweet balance, dry and bitter, soft moutheel a very slight soapy edge. Great furryness, citrus and resinous combination.

Tap at The Colmore, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with an everlasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is over moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, fresh, dank, grassy hop, light citrus fruit, hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can from Thornbridge online shop. Clear golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried orange peel and grapefruit. Flavour of Lockets and grapefruit zest. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. An excellent west coast IPA.

Can. Wine Rack Sheffield. Clear gold. Thick off white froth stays the course. Nose has spicy biscuit, not unlike those Lotus you get with a coffee. Pine needle. Overripe citrus. Bit of spearmint. Taste is sappy bitter with some biscuity sweetness on the lips. Decent depth with brisk carbonation. Sappy citrusy finish. Nice one.

Brilliant white foaming head stayed on an amber coloured, slowly carbonating body. Malt, pine & biscuit aroma. Medium bodied, lively with a cloying back. Bitter, pine, biscuit, malt & tea tastes with a tangy finish. Like a modern old school EIPA.
