[Bøgedal 43] A hazy red-brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet and very malty, but also with strong notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of caramel on a malty back ground, but also with a hint of smoke.

[Bøgedal nr. 42] A hazy red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor too, but in the flavor light notes of wood also appear. The end is dry.

(Bottle 75 cl) Nr. 42 Beautiful, reddish dark mahogany with a small, off-white head. Distinct aroma of roasted malt. Full-bodied, sweetish malty yet with a fairly hoppy finish. Classical, well crafted Bøgedal. 200606 and 130806
Earlier Rating: 5/22/2006 Total Score: 3.2
(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy, dark brown with a reddish glow and a thick, creamy, beige head. Lightly burned, malty nose. Medium-bodied, dominated by hard roasted, lightly burned malt - I don’t pick up any smoke though. Dry, bitter malt finish. Thanks to Ungstrup for sharing.180506
