Crowler. Golden pour. Aroma of yeast esters, malt, subtle funk and herbs. Taste has dry yeast, yeast esters, subtle funk, apply champagne notes and white grape. Has champagne character indeed, bit like a brut saison. Not bad.

Bottle. Blonde. Grapes, hint of citrus, champagne yeast in the aroma. Totally dry, citric flavor with grapes. Not sour, really. Maybe some bretty notes. Champagne yeast. Grapefruit. Quite decent.

Bottle. Color: Clear pale golden, long lasting dense white head. Aroma: Peppery, Saison yeasty. Taste: Dry mouthfeel, moderate sweet, subtle notes of grapes and peach, very slightly sour. A bit more bitter than sweet. Hints of white pepper. Medium body, average carbonation. Indeed brut, quite nice.

0.375 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', batch no. 1, fresh bottle, no bb or bottling date. A little hazy, golden yellow with a thin, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, fruity-grassy, gently floral and a little yeasty aroma of lemon peel, gooseberry, white grapes, some peach and a touch of clove. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, gently fruity-grassy, a bit floral taste of lemon peel, gooseberry, white grapes and traces of clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally tart, fairly dry and gently grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Refreshing beer, easy to drink but could have been so much more. I wonder whether they have considered legal issues when using the term 'champagne'.
