bottle traded with DerDoppelbock. Red colour, large and persistent head. Very fruity indeed. Slightly sour, hoppy in the finish.

Bottle in Brussels, Belgium. Red beer with a strong head. The aroma is very strongly fermented cherries and the flavour is sweet cherries, and slightly bitter. Overall a nice strongish kriek that is slightly cordial.

Bottled. Ruby red colour, small white head. Sweet cherry aroma and flavour. Thatβs about it. I agree with Tom on this one being very sweet, but it works quite well as a refreshing drink.

250ml bottle. Fiery red body with a thick pink head. The aroma is not very pleasant at all, like walking into a candy shop where the owner is an old suspicious greybeard you might suspect for luring children with nasty candy. To be serious (if thatβs possible with this so-called beer) the aroma is almond and cherry, as artificial as you can imagine. Flavor is exactly like the aroma with a dose of citric acid causing some kind of bitterness to the soup. And still very, very sweet and sticky. With exceptions of the nasty smell this actually looks better than the ordinary Kriek, and you may also say this doesnβt even try to be a lambic at all. The overall score is 1 point higher, use it as something else than beer.

(25cl bottle, as Belle-Vue Extra Kriek, traded with DerDoppelbock) Clear, red colour with a medium-sized pink foam. Sweet, slightly perfumed cherry aroma with marzipan and a light sourish touch. Sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Syrupy cherry taste with very shy lambic reflections; sweet and fruity finish with a very faint tartness. Still somewhat drinkable.

Can. Candy-red and clear, with a big, light pink creamy head. Fruity aroma with cherries, other berries, sugar and a hint of sourness. Flavor is sugar, artificial cherries and some berries-sournes. Sticky mouthfeel. The "Extra" in the nama probably means extra sweet. (060709)

A dark red with foamy red head. Smell was close to a sour berry wine. Cherry flavor with a grain finish.

(Bottle 25 cl) Slightly hazy dark red colour with a handsome and creamy pink head. Fruity, marzipan-like aroma. Light-bodied with notes of metal and and underlying tartness from the lambic. Distinct cherry flavours with some sweetness, but never cloyingly sweet. I have to admit that Iβm a sucker for the best sweetened Krieks - and this is one of them. 120206
