Clear red with medium pink head. Sweet aroma with cherry and marzipan notes. Sweet flavour with artificial cherry and marzipan notes. Finished very sweet. I would love to try an authentic kreik from Belle-Vue at one point. Put some cherries in the Selection Lambic please.

250ml Bottle- 2007 Vintage. Dark red in colour with a lively pink head. Fruity, sweet cherry aroma with a hint of tartness. Sugary sweet cherry taste which is very refreshing but not much of a lambic element to it. Very refreshing on a hot day like today.

2004 Edition. May 2005. Grape red in colour with a dissipating white head. Lighter cherry aroma. Sweet cherry juice with light sour notes. More light a lightly alcoholic cherry juice than a kriek. Reminscent of the mystery cherry kriek at the Beer Museum. 6-3-6-3-10
1994 bottle from Kulminator, November 2006. A dark reddish brown ale, almost purple, with a thick off white head. Plesant musky aroma of cherries, linen and oxidized malt. In mouth, a sweet yet restrained kriek, with light vinegar, musty malt, light oxidation. Overall, not bad. Medium bodied. Simple. 2 euros. 7-4-7-3-14

Since Henrik had the last 1993, I had to take the 1994 - the longest cellaring to combat the dreaded syrup Amber-shot red; pinkish fluffy head, rather small. Sweet, syrupy nose, cherry drops, oxydation traceable. Obvious oxydation in the taste, virtually no acids, bit of cherry liqueur character, not entirely unpleasant. Syrupy and very cloying. Disappointing when fresh, and time did not get a hold on THAT. There is a definite cherry flavour, just too artificial.

(Bottle 25 cl) Vintage ’93 Filtered, very red - and so is the head. Sweetish with underlying sour notes. Quenching rather than cloying. 190593 Vintage ’98: 6/3/6/3/12=3

Hazy ruby color. Cherry aroma. Woody, astringent, before the sweetness and fruitness. Not very pleasant.

Bottle Clear, deep red body. Pinkish fizzy head. Mostly diminishing. earthy, Lightly cherry (not kriek) aroma. Lightly sweet flavour. Not that overwelming sweet, but the flavour isn’t interesting at all, very flat indeed.
